Starting kindergarten is a big dea...Sweet memories! Starting kindergarten is a big deal. But I have to disagree with your sweetie's teacher about one point...influences. While there are certainly many new and differing influences as kids grow, as long as parents stay involved, they will remain extremely influential. Kids (particularly teenagers) may not act like it, but they really do want their parents' approval and care what their parents think.
