Chicken Livers-Watrobka Drobiowa

This is a simple and very inexpensive recipe.  And, depending on the health results you are looking for, can be unhealthy or healthy.  Ofal meats prevent dementia but can cause gout, depending on the study you read, so I suggest that you check your family history.  If someone in your family has suffered from Alzheimer's Disease, perhaps this is a delicious dish you can add to your healthy lifestyle occasionally.

Ingredients:

1 package Chicken Livers (usually a pound)
1/2 a Sweet Onion
2 tablespoons of Flour
2 tablespoons of Butter
2 tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
Salt
Pepper

Slice the Onion into thin strips.  Caramelize in the Butter and Oil.  Set aside.

Rinse the Livers and give them a quick once over to make sure they look good and have no strange bumps, etc.

Mix the flour, salt and pepper in a bowl.  Coat the liver in the flour mixture.

Fry in Butter and Oil on both sides, carefully not breaking up the livers but flipping over once to cook evenly.

Mix back in the Onions.

Serve with your favorite starch.  Typically, it is eaten with either peeled, diced and boiled potatoes or pasta.

Smacznego!

I've been mentally preparing myself to eat offal, since it's so darn good for you. Perhaps we can actually have that get together someday and you can teach me to properly prepare it (do you do beef livers?)
