Cleaning Amber Jewelry

Cleaning of amber teething necklaces, or other amber jewelry, is very simple.

A small tub of warm water, a drop of unscented baby wash, and clean white towels is all you need.

Wash the amber very gently in the water, rinse with warm water, and dry carefully on the towels.

You can restore luster to your amber by rubbing extra virgin olive oil onto it.

Now that your amber jewelry is clean, I recommend storing it wrapped in cheese cloth in a seperate drawer from the rest of your jewelry.

Also, if wearing perfume, first apply your fragrance, allow it to dry on your skin, and then put on your amber jewelry.  Perfume can damage amber.  Enjoy your amber jewelry, it is definitely a work of natural beauty.
