Christmas, or Boże Narodzenie, is just over a week away. I thought I would share an idea for Christmas gifts in case you are stumped and looking for something original.
Dom itp is a local Chicago based company that sells Christmas ornaments from Poland and other items, such as hats, sleds, etc.
You might have heard their commercial a few days ago on Polskieradio.com like I did. In fact, when I sent a tweet out that I heard it, they replied that Dom itp has a "Best Decorated Christmas Tree" contest. First prize wins a $50 gift certificate.
I just checked out their ornaments and have decided on three that I need to purchase for myself. The "John Paul II and The Black Madonna" ornament and a Chicago ornament are absolutely necessary for my tree, I think. I also love the Krakowianka figurine. My older daughter personally wants the 3 piece set of Mushrooms.
Dom itp was also recently featured on Windy City Live:
Their prices are about what I paid while living in Maryland for ornaments made in Poland, so I found them to be reasonable considering they are much more intricate than the ornaments I have purchased thus far.
Na razie...
